We collect information you provide directly — name, email, company name, and billing details when you create an account or contact us. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and export activity to improve the product.

Our franchise dataset is compiled from publicly available sources including Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs), state registration filings, and corporate websites. We do not collect private consumer data or personal information unrelated to business operations.

We use your information to provide and improve our services, process payments, send product updates (which you can opt out of), and respond to support requests. We analyze aggregated usage patterns to prioritize feature development.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your contact lists or export history for any purpose other than delivering the service you paid for.

We share data only with service providers essential to operating Franchismo — payment processors (Stripe), cloud infrastructure (AWS/Cloudflare), and email delivery services. All providers are bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights and safety. We will notify you of any legal request for your data unless prohibited by law.

We encrypt data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access to production systems requires multi-factor authentication and is limited to authorized personnel. We run on infrastructure certified to SOC 2 Type II standards.

While we take security seriously, no system is impenetrable. If we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you promptly and take immediate remediation steps.

You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time from your profile settings. You may request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it entirely by emailing privacy@franchismo.ai.

If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Contact us to exercise these rights.

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We use analytics cookies (Google Analytics, PostHog) to understand how users interact with the site. You can disable analytics cookies in your browser settings.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels for retargeting.

We retain your account data for as long as you maintain an active subscription. If you cancel, we keep minimal records for tax and legal compliance for up to seven years, then delete them. You can request earlier deletion at any time.

We may update this policy as our practices evolve. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
